The Appointee & Deputyship Team (ADT) support those adults who receive care and support through East Sussex County Council (ESCC), Adult Social Care who lack mental capacity to manage their finances and property themselves by taking on the responsibility by way of Department for Work and Pensions Appointeeship or Court of Protection Deputyship.

As an ADT Caseworker you will manage the day to day financial affairs of those vulnerable adults in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (Mental Capacity Act 2005 (legislation.gov.uk) and our responsibilities as set out in the Office of the Public Guardian Standards (Deputy standards: professional deputies (publishing.service.gov.uk)
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are organised, self-motivated and proactive
- Have a good level of numeracy
- Are a Team player

Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams unless you request an in-person interview.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
