Community Ambassador

As a Community Ambassador, the focus of your role will be to engage, explain, encourage and provide advice and guidance across the Tendring district, operating in public facing settings, interacting with visitors, residents and businesses.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain effective and operate calmly even in challenging situations, as well as the ability to network and engage closely with partners. Recent experience in working with established problemsolving or enforcement type models and situations would be beneficial.
The ability to work cohesively in a small team, complete accurate and good quality written reports and to operate effectively and ethically across social media and virtual communities, is essential.
Training will be given with regard to powers and policy, including use of 2014 ASB legislation, problem management and best practise along with the ability to issue fixed penalty tickets.
You will be required to patrol within the Tendring District in all weathers. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied. There is also a requirement to be flexible with hours as you will be expected to work weekends and bank holidays on a rotasystem
