**Buying Assistant**

**We are searching for an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated Buying Assistant to join our growing Buying Team**

**The Role**

The Buying Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Buyer / Head of Buying, working together to deliver the best ranges for our customer base, managing the administration within the given department. The aim is to deliver a profitable first to market range and provide day to day support to the given categories.

This role will allow you to expand your knowledge and skills with the view to progress into an assistant buyer role.

We will offer full support and training in all areas of the role with a detailed induction programme.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Buying Team with their administration.
- Participate in marketing, merchandising and internal communications to support the product range where appropriate.
- The opportunity to support our photography studio with interior design of sets for products and trend analysis.
- Maintain product technical files where applicable.
- Progression to provide technical support to our sales teams when required.
- To support with running reports on a weekly basis to deliver to head of buyer
- To report to our suppliers on quality queries to ensure we maintain high quality products to our customers
- Unwrapping samples ready for presentation, support in selection, in turn grow and develop your knowledge of tiles & essential categories
- Communicate new product information to the Internal and External Sales Teams
- Monitor the accuracy of web listing of our products
- Monitor the sales and trends of our products and target the slow sellers
- Work closely with our inbound stock team to support where applicable
- Work on projects in different areas to help our department work in the most efficient way

- Results focused, and a self-starter who is able to work towards project deadlines, is essential.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft programmes such as Excel
- Strong numeracy & analytical skills

Previous experience of working within a Buying Team is preferred but not essential as full training and support is available.

Office Hours

8:30 - 5pm (½ hour lunch break)

Salary £21,850 - £22,500

**Salary**: £21,850.00-£22,500.00 per year
