**Are you an aspiring primary teacher or an experienced classroom assistant who is looking to gain further hands on experience in a variety of local primary schools?**

**Do you feel confident to work with primary students who may have some challenging behaviours?**

Academics work in partnership with a number of primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire who are actively looking for enthusiastic and outgoing **Classroom Assistants** for ad-hoc, short, and long term roles.
- **Responsibilities of a Classroom Assistant**:_
- Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson.
- Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment.
- Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning.
- Working with students either one to one or in small groups out of the classroom.
- Committed to support both the teacher and the students to succeed.

**_As an Academics Primary Classroom Assistant, you will have:_**
- _At least 4-6 week's experience in an environment working with children._
- _A positive can do attitude to respond to busy schools. Calls for work can be from 7:00am in the morning_
- _Able to get to our partnership schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire by 8.30am with 30-60 minutes notice._
- _Can work flexible between Mondays to Friday. Usual working hours are between 8.30am-3.30pm_
