We understand that for our business to grow, our people must grow. **Job Description** We have an exciting newly created role within the Group Finance function. The post holder will be responsible for end to end production of the P&L and BS management information for their own Group function, including reviewing financial information produced by management accountants and upholding a strong control environment intheir designated area. The role also involves the production of accurate financial information for the consolidated Group and its subsidiaries. Leadership of a small team forms part of the role and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the team meet their functional and organisational objectives along with creating an environment of continuous improvement. Stakeholder management is key and you will be responsible for developing and nurturing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including within Group finance, and other teams across the business, The preparation of regulatoryreturns is required along with supporting the year end audit and opportunities for involvement in other ad hoc projects. Key accountabilities: - End to end oversight for own area of the Group management accounts - Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries within reporting deadlines - Reviews of financial information and supporting schedules prepared by management accountants - Presentation of information to senior stakeholders - Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as divisional finance and external auditors - Uphold key controls that form part of the Financial Control Framework, ensuring an effective control environment - Assisting with the planning and implementation of finance project work, including cross functional teams - Prepare and review other information as required by internal and external stakeholders, such as regulatory returns, tax returns and financial statement disclosure workings. - Complete ad hoc project work as required - Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement Managing people: - Be responsible for the support & development of a junior management accountant - Driving and managing performance through coaching, support and the setting and management of SMART objectives. - Managing the colleagues through the colleague life cycle of employment - Providing timely feedback relating to performance - Training and mentoring - Role model and set standards aligned to the company vision and values **Qualifications** Essential skills and experience: - Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA or similar - Industry background - Advanced knowledge of Excel - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Knows what "good " looks like in terms of quality financial management information - Proven team player - Desire to learn and develop skills - Technical accounting experience Nice to have skills and experience: - Financial services industry knowledge - Experience of BI tools is advantageous **Additional Information** - We offer a range of company benefits, including shared reward scheme, discretionary bonus, 26 days holiday plus your Birthday, entitlement increases over time, holiday purchase scheme, matched pension contribution, life assurance, critical illness cover,health cash plan, private medical insurance, access to company's holiday homes, regular team/individual incentives, travel season ticket loans, Ride to Work scheme, free gym access and local bar/restaurant discounts._ - Career development opportunities are excellent and where possible we offer sponsorship of relevant qualifications._ *please note that all successful applicants will undergo relevant employment reference, financial and criminal record checks.
