We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Inventory Controller to support and improve the operation for multi contract site.

Position holder will assist with stock integrity within the contract, ensuring all stocks are accounted for and KPI’s are met. They will provide operational support during periods of holiday, absence and high volumes.

The role is based in our Northampton site (NN4 5FB).

You will be expected to work Monday to Friday in rotating shift pattern 0600-1400/ 1400-2200.

The job offers the salary of £26,753.40 per annum (including shift allowance).

**Job Description**:

- To assist with formal stock takes on behalf of the contract in accordance with laid down procedures
- To conduct accurate cycle counting
- Carry out stock investigations, ensuring discrepancies can be accounted for
- Accurate pallet checks
- Investigating customer queries and resolving them within a reasonable period to customer satisfaction levels
- Setting up and maintaining all stock files
- Setting up warehouse locations
- Assisting on the relocation of designated areas within the warehouse
- Preparing timely and accurate reports for management and customer as requested
- Adhering to deadlines, or escalating to Line Manager where these cannot be met
- Adherence to procedures
- Ensuring all stock related KPI’s are met
- Champion KAIZEN activities to identify and implement 5s principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all weekly/ monthly reports are completed accurately and to meet deadlines
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, and attend all relevant safety briefings and campaigns
- Reporting of near misses

Key requirements:

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy levels
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite with excel skills essential
- Strong analytical skills
- WMS experience, AS/400 PKMS and SAP advantageous
- Ability to effectively deal with and resolve problems
- Previous inventory/stock control experience
- This role will require use of MHE
- Experience in working in a high volume or fast paced environment
- Target driven with a strong desire to succeed
- Desire to learn and develop
