**Junior Consultant / Consultant: Sustainability**

Ecoveritas is looking for a Junior Consultant or Consultant to join our growing Sustainability Consultancy department. The role includes a combination of desk research, data manipulation, report writing and client engagement, to undertake various packaging sustainability consultancy projects. These projects can involve using client packaging data to advise on compliance with packaging regulations, to support the development of packaging strategies and identifying sustainability improvements. The role will also include supporting the ongoing development of a comprehensive library of global extended producer responsibility (EPR) requirements.

Some business experience is essential and that with corporate or other clients who are looking to achieve their sustainability goals and targets on a number of different fronts is desirable.

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake all aspects of packaging sustainability projects including research, data analysis, report writing and presentations
- Manage certain aspects of consultancy projects
- Undertake desk-based research into global EPR requirements
- Identify sources of global packaging and other EPR information
- Read and summarise legislation and other legal and non-legal documents
- Distil information into easily understood summaries and presentations
- Present information to clients
- Contribute to service marketing, such as writing blogs and case studies
- Contribute towards a supportive, positive and energetic working environment
- Promote excellence, evaluate processes, problem solve and support the team to exceed the expectations of our clients
- Support the company mission and objectives
- Other appropriate duties which arise in support of the business goals

**Skills**:

- Strong interest or experience in the sustainability sector
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a business environment
- Attention to detail
- Research experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, Wiki/CRM system
- Confidence in understanding technical and legal information
- Ability to simplify and summarise detailed and complex information
- Clear and engaging writing style, excellent verbal communication
- Ability to present complex information in a client-friendly way
- Organised and systematic approach to work
- Self-starter, driven, with a determination to be part of expansion of Ecoveritas’ work
- Adept at both supporting colleagues and team working
- Language skills (desirable)
- Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) knowledge (desirable)
- Understanding of and experience in sustainability policy (desirable)

**Application Process**:
Ecoveritas embraces remote/hybrid working. Our main office is in Oxford, but we have staff presence throughout the UK and embrace remote/hybrid working.

This role is permanent and full time.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
