We are looking for
A Warehouse Co-ordinator for our OVL (Overland) entity based in Minworth ( UK)
Mission and Brief of duties
Responsible for safely operating technical equipment (FLT) to unload, load, move and stock merchandise, whilst optimizing loading for efficient logistics. Supporting warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business and respecting procedures and safety standards
Perform all tasks relating to Office Operations while adhering to all quality standards
Primary responsibilities include:
- Uses Forklift trucks and other manual handling trucks to unload, load goods, stock and completes the sequencing of parts in a specific order to high quality standards. Including operating MHE externally to transport goods in a safe and timely manner to trackside.
- Adapts handling technique according to type of goods handled and clients’ requirements
- Performs repetitious physical movements in a controlled, precise manner and aligned to H+S
- Ensures strict procedures and timescales are followed
- Competently uses warehouse equipment to move, store and load goods as per specific requirements
- Performs necessary H&S checks on MHE and reports defects as necessary
- Schedules and performs regular routine maintenance on FLT whilst utilizing on-site services provided
- Executes operations within required timeframes and without having a negative impact on quality
- Records the movements inbound / outbound of goods using either handheld scanning devices or manual process
- To ensure that the inspection of goods is correctly managed and accounted for by proper use of manifests and tracking documents
- Detects problems by checking documents or lists and reporting any discrepancies via scanning/manual procedures
- To understand and comply with all departmental rules, agreements and quality procedures
- To immediately report all operational problems and restraints to your Line Manager
Office Operations
- Complete administrative tasks involving Microsoft packages and in-house GEFCO systems
- Assist in creation and issuing of UK customs requirements including Goods Movement References, Transit Documents and sending Pre-Alerts to EU GEFCO depots
- Partner management - effectively liaise with key GEFCO UK Partners including driver’s daily, issuing documents and advising ad-hoc procedures
- 2 years of experiences in a similar position.
- A valid FLT ( Forklift) Licence
- Previous forklift truck experience in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Commitment to work towards a professional accreditation with an industry related body
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Essential
- Solution-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Agile and flexible
- Time sensitive / JIT operations
