Production Technician

Bridgend

£19,000 to £22,000 DOE + Holidays + Pension (5% Company Contribution) + Life Assurance + Bonus Scheme

Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-13:30

The role would suit a Production Technician with experience in a similar role in the building and testing of a range of products. Applicants will have a BTEC Level 3 or equivalent A Level in an electronic electrical discipline. Hands on experience of mechanicalassembly processes would be an advantage.

Requiring a strong level of attention to detail, you will undertake the build and test of a full range of products. You will be responsible for electrical and mechanical assembly from build documents which take the form of mechanical assembly drawings, wiringschedules, electrical schematics and Microsoft Excel & Word documents. You must report any issues to production management and ensure any non-conforming parts follow the RTV/ NCR process. You will complete all relevant quality checks and paperwork relatingto the builds.

The role:

- Electrical and mechanical assembly in accordance with mechanical assembly drawings, wiring schedules, electrical schematics and Microsoft Excel & Word documents
- Build and test of a full range of products
- Ensure all non-conforming parts follow the RTV/ NCR process
- Be responsible for 5S and housekeeping of the production area ensuring standards are maintained
- Report any issues back to production management
- Complete all relevant quality checks and paperwork relating to the builds

The person
- Experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail and focused on quality
- Ability to concentrate on a repetitive task for long durations
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently
- BTEC Level 3 or equivalent A Level in an electronic/ electrical discipline is essential
- Hands on experience of mechanical assembly processes
