**Job summary**:
To act as Data Entry Supervisor for the Central Specimen Data Administration Team This will include:

- Ensuring the Data Entry team uploads data from forms in a timely manner in accordance with quality and time specified requirements
- Supervising a pool of both permanent and bank staff
- Ensuring enough resources are deployed each day to meet the stringent targets associated with successful service delivery
- Reviewing activity reports and taking appropriate action to ensure targets are met
- Work within budget and ensure service is delivered
- Producing Activity reports for senior management on request and periodically as

**Job description**:

- Collate management and other information as requested by the Business Manager and the UKHSA Laboratories Directorate Office
- Line Management of office staff, ensuring robust cover arrangements are in place for periods of Annual Leave / Sickness Absence / Training etc
- Oversee the timely management of Annual appraisals ensuring relevant staff are appraised in accordance with published deadlines
- Review working practices and procedures to ensure team members work efficiently, effectively and in accordance with agreed protocols
- Regularly monitor outputs and ensure these are in line with agreed targets
- Review timesheets and actively review to ensure these are in line with hours worked Prepare staff rotas to ensure the service is covered throughout each working day
- Assist with training and development of new staff and ensure mandatory training is completed in a timely

**Grade and Salary**

New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start on the minimum of the pay band.
