**Job Title**: Activity & Wellbeing Coordinator

**Responsible to**: Home Manager, Senior Care Assistants.

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
- Focus on the wellbeing of our residents by providing a rich, person-centred and diverse activity programme that benefits all of our residents.
- Develop and lead an activity program that takes account of the needs, interests and preferences of all residents living in the home (mainly dementia).
- To provide a variety of activities and formats for residents to enjoy including one to one sessions, groups, outings and whole home activities.
- Ensure that the activity program is documented along with daily records of activities provided, resident participation, resident feedback. Recording is completed on the electronic care planning system.
- Support other care staff to participate in activity provision and help them to develop their confidence to maintain and continue activities when you are not present.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Genuine interest in activity provision with the elderly within a care home setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, work colleagues and other stakeholders
- Satisfactory DBS Check and two references
- Experience of developing and leading activities within a care home, or similar setting, to people with a range of physical and mental health needs.
- A positive 'can-do' attitude is essential for this role.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
