**Main duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Health Care Assistant**
- To lead a team of Health Care Assistants to ensure the highest standards of person centered care for individual residents.
- To administer medication as prescribed for individual residents.
- To work as part of the team, providing all aspects of personal care for individual residents as needed.
- To contribute to the care planning process.
- To make accurate records relating to the care provided for residents and their well-being.
- To provide formal supervision to team members as required.
**Requirements**:
- Kind, caring and compassionate in nature
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve high standard
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure in a diverse and changing environment
- Ability to communicate and interact well with residents and others
- NVQ level 3 Health and social Care
- Previous experience of medication administration
- Previous experience of care planning and carrying out assessments
