Office and Analytical Services Administration

**Summary **The Office and Analytical Services Administration Assistant will provide administrative support functions for analytical services scientists, including managing stock levels and overseeing the sample receipt process. They will also provide assistance to the Office Manager with general administrative tasks relating to the office as well as checking goods received and shipping out customer orders
**Essential Functions**
- Responsible for organizing waste/glass/and plastic ware collection and destruction of the customers samples after 3 months
- Ordering of laboratory consumable and maintain stock levels in laboratory
- Oversee the process of customer sample receipts - working to support the analytical services team with logging samples received and ensuring all required paperwork has been received so that analyses can be scheduled
- Perform weekly (incl. fire alarm testing), monthly (incl. emergency lighting tests) and annual Health & Safety inspections/drills and compliance checks (incl. display screen assessments) whilst ensuring adequate logs are maintained. Ensure on-site visitors follow our H&S procedures. Supports management in the preparation of health and safety documentation from time to time.
- Shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring goods are shipped with the correct INCO terms and shipping codes.
- Provide general administrative office support as and when required e.g. ordering of office stationery, running and checking of repots, data collection

**Travel**
The position is based in our Forest Row office and travel required might be up to 5% domestically. It could be some travel associated for the gaining and/or renewal of certificates and for attending a training course.
**Job Requirements**
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Valid driver's license
**Education and Experience**
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience working within an administrative role
- Proficiency with MS Office
