This role for a Decarbonisation Engineer/Energy Engineer is genuinely an exciting proposition, one where the companies Just Cause is rooted in sustainable practice and a 'Start with Zero' mentality rather than 'meeting' net zero targets. The business' actionsare underpinned by sustainable practice, and they are allowing themselves to be audited by external companies to determine their carbon usage which goes as deep and further than the commuting methods of their staff. The fleet of vehicles has been switchedto all electric, so the business now is really in a position where its mission statement and values are aligning with its purpose. To be successful in this role you will need to be motivated in a similar way, reducing energy, combating climate change, andproviding not just sustainable but regenerative energy strategies and deliver on affordable warmth for their portfolio of clients.
You will work on the decarbonisation of estates and buildings and providing regenerative energy systems to enable buildings to be self-sufficient. This Decarbonisation Engineer/Energy Engineer role in Manchester will involve design but the fundamentals ofthe role involve more strategic planning, funding, delivery, construction and execution of net zero policy and affordable warmth.
Having been operational for more than 10 years and the Building Consultancy department growing to 28 people they are in a strong position as a business, and their goal is to become a leader in the market and not just providing sustainable solutions but beingtotally conscious of their own footprint simultaneously.
You will need a Degree or Masters in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy/Renewable Technology or Regeneration. A Mechanical Engineering background is ideal for this position, knowledge and expertise of District Heating and Heat Pumps Networks is a must and a historyof working with clients on projects previously to work on regenerative methods of producing energy and affordable warmth is essential. Your experience can come from a Mechanical, Sustainability, Energy, Carbon Reduction or Regeneration role previously.
