We are currently looking for a **General Operative** to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac The Gore Quarry, Presteigne. This is commutable from Ludlow, Leominster, Hereford and the surrounding areas.
- If you have a good work ethic and want to progress, Tarmac will provide you with Training & Development gaining Tickets & Qualifications._

**Role Responsibility**:

- Operation of plant and machinery (training to be provided)
- Cleaning of spillages
- Learning of tarmac systems
- Day to day maintenance, general house keeping
- Maintenance and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety
- Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measures around the site

As part of an operational team, you as a **General Operative **will be able to demonstrate proven experience of working within a similar environment. You will also; in the role of **General Operative**:

- Have knowledge of heavy industry and ideally of aggregates; although product knowledge is not essential
- Be flexible and self-motivated to succeed
- Able to work as part of an effective team and motivate others
- Have knowledge of Risk Assessments
- Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards
- IT literate

If you have experience as a **General Operative** from a similar industry we will support you with training.
