London, United Kingdom Capgemini Invent Full time

At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

**YOUR ROLE**:
The IT Cost & Value team is part of the growing Business Technology practice. We are looking for talented individuals to join the team to help our clients make strategic cost optimisation and transformation decisions to help realise the true value of their technology (people, technology, and capabilities).

Our IT Cost & Value team works in close partnership with two other offer teams: (i) Technology Strategy and (ii) IT Mergers & Acquisitions. Our work typically involves the following:

- Advising clients on what the strategic role of technology should be within their organisation: where does technology need to be truly differentiating and innovative, where does it need to be provided as a repeatable core service, and how to operationalise the capabilities (in house, outsource, partner etc.)
- Modelling benefits and costs to deliver a substantiated business case for change alongside an achievable plan to deliver desired outcomes
- Identifying how IT Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) can be optimised through the analysis and prioritisation of cost levers across and beyond the IT estate
- Building the right level of digital capabilities between technology and people to get organisations ready to tackle current and future challenges
- Helping clients define their technology strategy for restructuring their technology asset base to support merger and acquisition initiatives or wider digital transformation objectives

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

- Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Experience in delivering strategic cost optimisation engagements with a focus on using cost analysis techniques to spot cost reduction opportunities and build cases for change and transformative cost optimisation roadmaps
- Robust financial acumen and analytical abilities with proficiency in IT financial management e.g. Technology Business Management (TBM), IT budgeting, TCO analysis, cost-benefit analysis, data gathering and manipulation, and business case modelling to help our clients evaluate the cost effectiveness of IT investments
- The ability to support clients with moving away from conventional annual budgeting to multi-year strategic investment plans that fund products rather than projects
- Confident in talking about the value of technology and using analysis methods to quantify the impact of cost reduction initiatives
- Experience in using third-party IT financial management tools is a plus
- Good understanding of industry trends and how to capitalise on technology to drive client value
- Demonstration of core management consulting skills, including excel, storyboarding, comparative analysis, project and workstream management, presentation skills and the ability to quickly build productive and trusting relationships with senior stakeholders

**WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE?**:

Our high-calibre management consultants deliver profitable outcomes in business and IT-oriented environments, working collaboratively with major FTSE 100 and Government clients to help them achieve their strategic goals and further enhance the delivery of business value from the IT estate.
