Quality Inspector
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join an electronics supplier based in Alton. This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector:

- Ensure effective maintenance of Quality Management System
- Support supplier and customer complaints, and review customer quality requirement
- Monitor customer and supplier quality performance
- Carry out export review on all products for destinations overseas
- Support customer and certification activity and audits
- Support and shadow goods inspection and logistics activities
- Meet customer expectations with regards to export compliance
- Ensure completion of all import/ export customers, tariff clarifications, duty rates and other documentation when required
- Comply and keep up to date with changes in regulations, laws, and customer procedures
- Process imports and export customs clearance declarations
- Handle duties related to processing of freight/ shipments through customs and preparing documentation
- Keeping records of compliance with national regulations when exporting goods

Requirements as a Quality Inspector:

- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in an Import/ Export Compliance role
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering
- Experience in dealing with audits and compliances
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbally
- Has a good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

A bit more information:

- Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 17:30pm and Friday 9:00am - 14:30pm
