Driving Required: No Contract Type: Full Time Contract, Part Time Contract About the Company We are a 50-bedded Nursing and Residential Care Home admitting elderly residents at all stages of nursing and care needs. We stand in attractive landscaped gardens in a residential area 5.6 weeks annual leave Lots of Training offered including HVQ 2 and HVQ 3 Annual pay review Uniforms supplied DBS paid for Lunch provided on long days £9.50weekdays, £11.87 per hour weekends Variety of shifts: 7.30am to 8pm, 7.30am to 2 pm, 1.30pm to 8pm,12pm to 8pm, 7.30am to 3.30 and 7.45pm to 7.45am What does this Health Care Assistant job involve? To provide the necessary care required for each resident ensuring safety at all times, whilst maintaining a natural homely environment. To be present at "report times" and to make sure the content is understood. To carry out instructions given by the Matron in an efficient, conscientious manner. To ensure she/he is aware of the residents 'histories’, strengths and needs and any specific care needed. To provide assistance to residents including washing, dressing, toileting and help with personal hygiene. To help provide essential physical and mental stimulation by participating in recreational and social activities with residents individually or in a group and assist the Occupational Therapist where required. To escort residents to and from lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms. To assist with feeding where required, provide suitable alternatives as discussed with the Matron. The delivery of excellent standards of nursing and personal care to promote and maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. To assess the individuals social and health care needs by listening and involving them with family, friends, doctors and nurses to formulate a package of care tailored to their needs.
