Bakery Assistant

**About Us**

Cheshire Cupcakes is a small, independent cake business based in the heart of Cheshire, founded in the market town Nantwich. We bake every day to deliver to our shops in Nantwich and Altrincham. We pride ourselves in baking by hand small batches of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, blondies and other baked goods, using our own recipes and the finest Cheshire ingredients.

We are looking for a baker to join our team with an immediate start, to help assist in the bakery during the busy festive period on the run up to Christmas.

**The Role**

**Responsibilities...**
- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of cupcakes, brownies, blondies, cookies and seasonal specials.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other baking tools.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Support the head baker in creating new recipes and developing seasonal offerings.
- Ensure that all baked goods are displayed attractively for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment

**To Qualify**
- Experience in cake baking at volume (at least one year)
- Have a passion for baking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen
- Able to confidently lone-work independently but also work cooperatively within a team
- Prepared to help out the rest of the team in a willing, positive manner and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
- Obtain a clean driving license with access to a vehicle to commute to our bakery, based just outside of Nantwich

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From £10.00 per hour
