**Teaching Assistant Role**

**Empowering Learning** is currently looking for a **Teaching Assistant** based in **Croydon.**This is a permanent, **full-time position**. We are looking for a nurturing individual with a passion to supporting and developing children both academically and socially.

**Teaching Assistant - Job Responsibilities**
- Ensuring school rules are adhered to
- Working with KS1/KS2 students with mixed abilities including SEND
- Offering support and empathy to children requiring assistance
- Reporting health and safety issues on-site to the maintenance team to resolve
- Communicating effectively with teachers/children about any concerns or issues
- Risk assessing the environment and responding accordingly
- Observing behaviour, intervening and addressing when necessary, reporting any safeguarding issues through the correct channels

**Experience, Training & Qualifications**
- Legal right to work in the UK
- First Aid Training (desirable)
- Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or overseas Police clearances (if applicable)
- SEND experience (desirable)
