**What you’ll be doing**:

- Fabrication, assembly, installation of Steelwork, Woodwork and composite structures and supporting activities. Pre-fabrication and manufacture of steelwork, structures, and items
- always Working safe
- Striving for a 'right first time' performance in quality
- Use the appropriate methods and techniques to complete operations
- Check the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required specification

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Time served in Steelwork (Plater or shipwright)
- Experienced in lining off
- Experience of press brakes
- Shipwright skillset

**The Steelwork team**:
As a Steelworker, you will be involved with the Astute and Dreadnought programmes, under the operations function in the steelwork department.

The role covers a wide range of activities which allows you to get hands on with the product. Duties include tack welding to fitting walkways and ladders. The role covers a large area which will allow you to get a better insight to other departments including DDH, CYC and NAS buildings.

This role will provide you with opportunity to progress further within your role and the wider business.
