**My Client are looking for a Scrub Nurse on a Full Time basis to start Immediately**

They are a prestigous private hospital who offer the following procedures to patients:

- Laser Eye Surgery
- Lens Replacement
- Cataract Treatment

You will be responsible for all aspects of the Ophthalmic Surgical procedures within the Hospital and provide excellent care to all patients with specific responsibility for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operatingtheatre team. Your role may also include peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital, and assisting with minor operations.

They will assist in maintaining an 'out of hours’ emergency patient service for quality standards and continuity of care. whilst adhering to the principles of clinical governance and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to assist in providing the most efficientand effective level of service

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
To promote a sensitive, responsive and caring approach to all patients, visitors and colleagues within the hospital environment. To be responsible for the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient care throughout the patients’ visit to Optegra.To work in a manner that also ensures maximum efficiency, effective utilisation of resources and the seamless delivery of support to Consultants / Surgeons.

**Main focus Areas**:

- **Patient Care** - Take responsibility for all patient needs and aftercare. disposing of surgical equipment.
- **Administration** - Assist with the organisation and administrative tasks and reports within your role
- **Training and Development** - Undertake all mandatory training as required
- **Organisational**:

- Maintain a safe enviroment for patients, visitors and colleague

**Experience Needed**:

- Minimum of 12 Months experience working as a Scrub Nurse in the UK (**Experience of working within a Ophthalmic enviroment is essential**)
