She Advisor

**We have an opportunity for a SHE Advisor** to join our Construction Business supporting the South region and reporting to the Regional SHE Manager. The focus of this role is to provide professional SHE support, advice and coaching at regional business level; engaging with Project Teams, Ops Directors and supply chain peers to ensure that the business SHE policy is promoted and effectively deployed.

**Key Accountabilities will also include**:

- To be conversant with current and impending health, SHE legislation.
- To assist in the maintenance the Company’s SHE Management System and associated documentation
- To assist and support Directors, Managers/Department Heads and Supervisors in their task of implementing the Company SHE Policy.
- To visit/inspect sites and projects in order to:
a) Monitor the safety and environmental performance of the region and its sub-contractors and employers and produce SHE Support Reports for management.

b) Investigate and give guidance upon any hazardous practices or operations; exercising in relevant situations the power to cease all further work by Wates and its sub-contract employees until adequate remedial action has been taken.
- To review absence due to accident or injury at work and ensure that reportable occurrences are notified to the relevant enforcing authority.

**To be successful in the role **you will be an excellent communicator with good coaching skills and highly developed influencing skills, along with a good level of communication and influencing skills. Knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Outlook, Excel essential.
