**Job Title: Quarry Operative - Night Shift (Permanent)**
**Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - 4pm - 1am Monday to Thursday and 12pm - 9pm Friday.**
**Division: Lough Fea Quarry**
**Reports To: Quarry Manager**
**Location: Lough Fea Quarry**
Starting from £10.70 per hour plus £3.50 after 6pm.
Pay scales increase with experience
Annual Bonus available (paid out in July and Christmas)
New Starter Bonus of £500
**Job Summary**:
To assist the Quarry team, by using your knowledge and skills to produce the Company goods.
**Our Lough Fea Quarry is located just 7 miles from our production headquarters.**

Operating static and mobile plants and working with state-of-the-art technology to produce sand and gravel before it is transported to our production facilities.
**About The Role**
**Job Summary**:
To assist the Quarry team, by using your knowledge and skills to produce the Company goods.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Main role will operate the crushing and wash plant to assist the team in producing quality Sand and Gravel.
- Option to be trained on Mobile vehicles such loading shovel, rigid dumper and 360 excavator.
- To fuel up plant daily;
- To inspect, clean and maintain plant and equipment daily and report faults to management;
- Ensure all work is completed to specified Quality, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Carry out basic adjustments and routine maintenance on machine on completion of training and as deemed competent by supervisor / manager.
- To assist with repairs during breakdowns.
- Ensure machines are locked out, isolated and props in place before cleaning or routine maintenance commences.
- Accurately complete paperwork and observe checklists as required.
- Carry out tasks as required and deemed within your competence by immediate Supervisor.
- Inform Maintenance Management of any additional maintenance required or machine problems immediately.
- Observe safety requirements when driving company vehicles / operating machinery. (_NB. Only trained and licensed operators may operate company vehicles)_
- Maintain safe working conditions and promptly bring to the attention of immediate Supervisor any work related problems or hazard requiring attention.
- Treat with care, attention and respect all items of Company property, e.g. protective clothing and equipment, machinery, tools and materials.
- Observe all Company regulations regarding Health and Safety at Work and Environmental Policies as detailed in the Health and Safety Handbook and Company handbook including sickness absence, time keeping etc.
- Operate machines within necessary safety guidelines and follow procedures in place relevant to the department assigned to including specific hazard training for the job being done.
- Communicate any problems, uncertainties or training issues to relevant supervisor / manager immediately.
- Deal with customers in a courteous, professional, efficient and safe manner at all times.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement meetings or Safety meetings as required.
- Any other duties as required and as deemed within your competence.

**Desired Criteria**
- Working experience of Static and Mobile Plant.
- Knowledge of the quarry/concrete industry.
- 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths A - C.
- Full and clean driving licence
