**Responsibilities**:
As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, gaining exposure to various areas including but not limited to:
- **Management of Accounts Payable (AP)**: Ensuring timely processing and accurate payment of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and resolving any payment discrepancies.
- **Management of Accounts Receivable (AR)**: Overseeing collections, reconciling accounts, and handling customer inquiries professionally.
- **Stock Management**: Assisting in stock valuation, conducting periodic stock counts, and collaborating with other teams to optimise processes.
- **Supporting Month-End Processes**: Assisting with month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
**Requirements**:
- **Proven Experience**: A minimum of 2-3 years of current hands-on experience as an Accounts Assistant, demonstrating proficiency in a fast paced commercial setting
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous when handling financial data, with a keen eye for accuracy and a track record of delivering high-quality work.
- **Analytical Skills**: Capable of interpreting financial information, identifying trends, and generating meaningful insights to support business decisions.
- **Organisational & Time Management Skills**: Efficiently managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Team Player**: Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- **Software Proficiency**: Experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
