We are looking to speak with experienced Accountants to work for an accountancy practice client of ours based in Rochester. Our client prides themselves on not fitting the 'typical accountant’ mould, operating a more 'hands-on’ approach, with 24/7 support(don’t worry, this is handled by another department).

As an accountant you will have experience of working within a practice environment, you’ll most likely be AAT qualified and/or working towards your ACCA, either way, you’ll receive full study-support to help you on your way to becoming a Chartered Accountantover time.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, either 9:00am to 5:00pm, or 8:00am to 4:00. There is free on-site parking available for those who drive, and ample public transport for those who don’t.

**What you will be doing**:

- Managing a portfolio of clients to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Managing junior staff and providing guidance to them where required.
- Preparing and filing VAT returns.
- Preparing annual financial statements for review
- Preparing corporation tax returns and self-assessment tax returns for review

**What we are looking for**:

- 3 - 4 years relevant accounting experience
- Must have practice experience
- AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified
