Clinical Responsibilities Act as a clinical resource within the Unit and across the Division as necessary. Provide guidance, support and professional leadership to all nursing staff within the Trust promoting confidence in the Critical Care Service. Initiate, implement and evaluate quality control methods as appropriate to the theatre department. Manage Infection Control in Theatres with support from the Senior Infection Control Nurse, reporting any problems affecting the unit.

Ensure that care is planned and developed in a systematic way. Investigate and monitor complaints and PALs enquiries. Update the Head of Nursing on the departmental plans to respond to complaints. Manage the Units budget for consumables and staff Provide accurate written reports to the Theatre Matron, Audit & Governance leads.

Work with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Director TO develop a quality strategy for the Theatre and Recovery Area. Contribute to the business planning process with regard to service development, cost improvements, risk management and financial processing. Please see attached job description for more information.
