Are you looking for a new challenging role as a Health Care Assistant?

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for a successful applicant to come and work with us in the Leicester Sexual Health Team.

This is a specialised area offering sexual health care across the diverse population of Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland. This includes young people, vulnerable individuals, those from diverse communities and much more.

The service is available 6 days a week with our clinics and services located in Leicester city and in venues across Leicestershire and Rutland. There is a requirement for working across these areas as part of the role therefore you will need to be able to travel independently.

We offer a development packages, in-house training and a supportive approach for all staff within the service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who possesses excellent communications skills, is able to work under their own initiative and have the skills to manage difficult and sensitive situations. You must be non-judgemental in your approach, be able to deal with challenging and delicate situations and have a good understanding of data protection and confidentiality. Also you must be committed to the delivery of high standards of patient care.

This role will be based at Haymarket Health in the Haymarket Shopping Centre, Leicester and will include assisting and chaperoning clinical staff for procedures. Maintaining excellent standards of infection control, phlebotomy and some aspects of microscopy, and the setting up and closing down the service.
- Monday to Friday 8-8pm, weekly (shift length between 5 - 12 hours)
- Tuesday evening at Oakham clinic until 8pm
- 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month (6 hour shift)
