Senior Support Worker (Children's Home)
The Birtenshaw Group is looking to recruit a number of Senior Support (Full or Part Time) Workers who are passionate about supporting disabled children. You will be leading a team based in one of our Children's Homes supporting up to 4 children with Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability and/or complex health needs.
We aim to transform the lives of children and young adults we support through our commitment to excellence.
The work is challenging but, as no two days are ever the same, it is rewarding and enjoyable.
**Salary: £24,901 - £25,319 (£12.91 - £13.12) per annum, pro rata**
**Overall Purpose**
- To lead a team of Support Workers including planning, managing and debriefing shifts
- To ensure the welfare of children and young adults is protected and promoted
- To work within relevant legislation and organisational policies, whilst creating safe, positive, nurturing placements for children and young people and safe enabling environments for young adults
- To provide a responsive service using appropriate methods of assessment and intervention within relevant statutory and company requirements
- To fulfil all the duties required of a care support worker in the service in which you are a shift leader
