**Role Profile**
Lloyd’s List Intelligence has been the trusted source of maritime intelligence for almost 300 years, supporting the safe, lawful, and efficient movement of trade by sea. We are driven by a mission to deliver accurate data and analysis when our clients need it most.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, results-driven professional with strong project management capabilities, commercial awareness, and a comprehensive understanding of data-driven decision-making.
This role is permanent, reporting to the Data Science & Analytics Manager, and offers balanced working with 2-3 days a week in our London office.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the identification and development of new data partnership opportunities through market research and competitive analysis.
- Strategically negotiate and finalize partnership terms that align with business objectives.
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing partners, acting as the primary point of contact, ensuring optimal data quality and value is derived from each partnership.
- Track, analyse, and report on the performance of data partnerships, ensuring they meet agreed KPIs, and provide actionable insights to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (legal and data analytics team) to ensure the successful integration of data sources into our ingestion system.
- Present partnership updates to senior management and key stakeholders, providing clear insights into progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
**What we are looking for**:
**Essential**
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, data analytics, or a related discipline) or equivalent experience managing data partnerships at a senior level
- Proven B2B partnership or/and relationship management experience
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen, with the ability to diplomatically secure beneficial agreements that align with company strategy.
- Exceptional relationship management and networking abilities, with experience fostering long-term partnerships that deliver measurable value
- Strategic and analytical thinker, with the ability to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and drive business growth through data partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to various audiences, including senior leadership and external partners.
- Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and innovative problem-solving in managing partnerships.
- Has hands on experience using databases would be beneficial
**Desirable**:
- In-depth knowledge of the maritime industry, especially ship registration details, ownership structures, insurance, and vessel classification systems.
- Knowledge of key trends in the data sourcing industry and familiarity with data integration processes.
- Proven expertise in business development or commercial decision-making in data-driven industries.
