We are seeking to appoint an exceptional **Finance Assistant **to join our multi-academy trust (MAT) and support our Shared Services team through the next phase of growth based in the North West, You will join us on a **full-time permanent basis** (37.5 hours per week) and In return, we will offer a competitive salary of**£20,092 - £24,491 per annum.**

**Responsibilites of our Finance Assistant include**:

- To be responsible for invoice processing, statement reconciliation and queries from staff and suppliers.
- The effective and efficient process of all Purchase ledger invoices.
- New Supplier audit process
- Credit control
- Prepare and post all daily banking
- Adherence to Dixons Scheme of Financial Delegation.
- Adherence to Dixons standard accounting policies and practise.
- Cover for staff holidays within the accounts payable team.
- To support the delivery of curriculum and operational objectives in an effective, efficient and professional manner.
- To ensure tasks are fully completed or otherwise identified to senior colleagues as tasks requiring further investment
of time.
- To ensure the operational workload is effectively managed to ensure finance service standards are adhered to.
- To investigate and answer routine queries arising from budget holders, management and other finance colleagues as
well as external bodies.
- To asssist in troubleshooting and resolving purchase ledger issues.
- To identify and resolve errors and discrepancies.
- To create, develop and/or maintain accounting spreadsheets as necessary.
- To maintain departmental storage and retrieval systems ensuring all documents are correctly scanned and subsequently filed.
- To develop and maintain a good knowledge of the Trust’s policies, procedures and systems.

**What we’re looking for in our Finance Assistant**:

- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade c or above, to include Maths and English
- Level 3 qualification or working towards a professional qualification
- Effective communicator
- Adequate level of IT and numeracy skills
- Team worker
- Pragmatic and flexible approach to work
- Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
- Commitment to safeguarding
