**Voluntary Subwarden - Elvyn Richards Hall**

A vacancy has arisen for a Subwarden to join the existing team within Elvyn Richards Hall of Residence. Applications are invited from post graduate research students of the University. The post will start in April 2025 in time for the start of the 2024-25 Summer Term.

**Accommodation and Catering Arrangements**

Free accommodation is available during term time, The accommodation available is only suitable for a single person. Lunch and evening meals are provided Monday to Friday during term time in Hall. Out of term time, simple self-catering facilities are available.

**Duties**

Sub wardens assist the Warden in the day to day running of the hall. This will involve pastoral, disciplinary and administrative duties as well as being involved in social aspects of hall life. The successful applicant will be part of a team which provides out-of-hours emergency cover in a hall of 406 students, and which helps to ensure the smooth running of the hall.

**Personal Attributes**

It is very important to find out what you are committing yourself to and to understand what is involved. All applicants are required to find out more about the hall community as it forms an integral part of the selection process. The successful applicant will receive undertake first aid, mental health first aid and fire safety training when the courses are available.
