**KBS Maritime is a joint venture between KBR and BAE Systems. **Established in 2021, we have been created to deliver dedicated services of Hard Facilities Management and Alongside Services at Portsmouth Naval Base in support of the Royal Navy.**

**Role Description: CRLG Storeperson**

The CRLG Storeperson plays a ey role in providing lifting equipment in support of Royal Navy warships in Portsmouth naval Base, and to BAE Systems engineers working on RN warships undergoing maintenance.

A full UK driving license is required for this role.

**The Role**:

- Assist with the day to day running of the Central Registry of Lifting Gear
- Support with the hiring, statutory examination and the service and repair of all lifting equipmentand held in CRLG
- Ensure the right resources are assigned to the asset using TCMax, utilising all available in-house lifting assets or requesting the hire of external equipment if required
- Ensure accurate asset information is recorded in TCMax and sound working relationships and communications are established with maintenance teams regarding out of service assets
- Liaise with Lloyds of London with respect to planned periodic examinations and inspections, ensuring all equipment due for inspection or test is presented in a timely manner and all equipment which is available for use is in date
- Display a high level understanding of of SHE processes and procedures including writing RAMS and conducting safety briefs and inspections
- Have a thorough knowledge of the inspection and maintenance routines for all lifting equipment held within the CRLG
- Operate in a flexible manner to meet the requirements of the business and the many, often short notice demands of the Royal Navy and other partner organisations
- Support other areas of Alongside Services when required
- Drive a work van and fork lift truck as required

**Role Responsibilities: You will have;**
- An understanding of LOLER and PUWER
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Flexibility and a willingness to work outside of the core hours and at weekends when required
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excell), TC Max, and be fully familiar with using a range of smart phone apps

**Ideally you will have**:

- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplined team delivering against tight schedules
- Excellent customer service skills, able to communicate with tact and diplomacy with all levels of internal and external customers
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- B1 - B3 FLT License
