We are currently supporting a London Local Authority recruit an interim Commissioning Manager into their Children’s Commissioning team.
- Key Responsibilities of the Interim Commissioning Manager:_
- Finalise a current/ongoing tender process for care leavers from award to mobilisation including decommissioning of existing provider
- Support the setup of new procurement for all care placements including semi-independent placements, post 16 part of 0-25, and support market engagement and market activity
- Successfully engage in contract management and monitoring activities, including provider engagement
- Support in a variety of smaller tender processes for new DPS, contract management and variations
- Skills and experience required of the Interim Commissioning Manager:_
- Contract management and commissioning/decommissioning experience and mobilising new providers
- Experience in Local Authority commissioning, ideally in Children’s Social care
- Able to manage and improve contract performance with providers
