Location: East Midlands
Piper Maddox are working with the worlds leading Aircraft Propulsion systems design and manufacturer to find an Electrical Systems Modelling and Simulation Engineer on a Contract basis. The business has been operating for the last 100 years and have now embeddedthemselves as a world-class leader for power-dense, reliable and resilient Aerospace systems. This position would be based in the East Midlands and can offer hybrid working, competitive rates, long term contracts and the opportunity to work on cutting edgetechnology as part of a major defence programme.
What you will be doing:
*Using modeling and simulation to underpin technical decisions on electrical systems around topics such as Voltage stability, Power quality and electrical fault performance
*Collaborating with other technical specialists across the business to ensure best practice
*Articulate simulation results to the broader business at varying seniorities
*Support verification and validation pursuits of the electrical system software and hardware
What we are looking for:
*A degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
*Ability to generate electrical system and component models for simulation
*Experience with modeling and simulation software (Matlab/Simulink, Simscape, PLECS, Modelica)
*Detailed understanding of Electrical System stability, quality and fault behavior for vehicles
This role falls inside IR35 and will need to be pay rolled through an Umbrella company or PAYE. You will need to provide references for three years employment in order to secure BPSS clearance before onboarding can commence. Please do not hesitate to get intouch if you have any questions.
