This role represents a unique opportunity to join the Benefit Payment Support team at DWP Digital. We’re looking for driven and passionate Senior QA Tester who would like to be part of a team delivering real value to people that need help during the difficult times of their lives.

**Job description**:

- A Senior QA Tester in Service Transformation will provide technical leadership to a multi-disciplined team and oversee the products they delivery, support and test.
- You can think outside the box, ask the right questions, and critically evaluate and communicate findings to a larger team.
- You will lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes, driving the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements.
- You will be able to manage the planning of system and / or acceptance tests, coordinating both functional and non-functional specifications and provide authoritative advice and guidance on test planning is key to this role. In addition, identification of process improvements to ensure the team are working to best practice is fundamental.
- You will work with stakeholders to set priorities, objectives, and timescales to successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet the customers’ needs and gives value for money by identify risks and resolving issues efficiently.
- You will provide technical leadership to a team of Testers along with providing oversight to the products they test. You will own the overall Test Process within your team ensuring the systems are fit for purpose.

Technology Services provide the foundations upon which digital services for DWP are developed and operate. Our purpose is to deliver secure, effective and cost-efficient digital infrastructure services and to run live IT operations that support DWP business objectives. We do this by putting users and quality of service at the heart of what we do.

4. Exploiting and enhancing hybrid cloud services. We provide hybrid cloud services that balance on-premise and public cloud to offer true platform independence and optimum price performance.

5. Protecting and securing our services. We ensure our IT systems remain secure and available, resilient to natural and human-caused disaster - ensuring citizens always have access to our key services.

6. Developing our people, capability and skills. We have created a sustainable service by developing our people, bringing key skills in-house to DWP, giving our teams professional pathways to develop and opportunities to progress within Technology Services.
