General hours of work are 37.5 hours per week guaranteed, Hours and shifts include days, evenings, nights and weekends with the option of overtime as required. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota.

More and more projects are being procured on a Design and Build basis and HBS have the skills and experience to service the requirements of these types of contracts. Our in-house design team offers the facility of early contractor involvement to assist with the design of safety barrier systems and traffic management and carry out Value Engineering in conjunction with your designers to ensure that a compliant, cost-effective solution is provided.

HBS will provide you with all the training and qualifications you need to become a fully certified Traffic Management Operative. We also assign each Traffic Management Trainee Operative with a fully qualified 'buddy' who will mentor and teach you throughout your training.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Traffic Management Operative, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow on highways and construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up and maintaining traffic management systems.
- Safely directing traffic during roadworks, events, and emergencies.
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Upholding our people-first culture and contributing to our fresh cultural change program.

What good looks like for a Traffic Management Operative:

- Qualified up to 12D or 12ab with M6 highly desirable
- T1 / T2 qualified
- Knowledge of Chapter 8
- driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test to be offered a role.
- Positive 'can-do' attitude
- Adaptability and Flexibility
- Meticulous attention to detail
