An exciting opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Division of Diagnostics and Clinical Support at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. We are delighted to announce the opportunity to invite applicants to the post of Radiology Professional Lead.
The Radiology Professional Lead will be accountable, along with the Radiology Divisional Manager to ensure the directorate meets key corporate and strategic objectives and will have a central role in developing and modernising services within the Directorate. This will included working in partnership with commissioners, other NHS Trusts and independent sector providers to deliver services that are person centred, evidence based and consistent with Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust‘s (WUTH) corporate objectives.
The Professional Lead will act as professional lead for Radiology providing guidance and support for radiographers by providing a source of high-level expertise and clinical leadership within radiology.
You will be the Trust Lead for radiation safety.
You will work along side the Modality Leads, Divisional Manager and Clinical Leads to develop the strategic direction of the Divisional Subspecialties / departments. You will ensure that there are robust clinical governance structures in place to support the safe delivery of the service.
Ability to lead change and hold other to account.

- To develop the strategic direction of Radiology in conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Directorate Manager, including the production of business plans and objectives.
- To establish a clear vision for Radiology and work with the team to drive the achievement of the vision, creating a working environment that empowers staff to achieve optimal performance.
