**Payroll Manager - Eastleigh - £35,000 + bonus - Hybrid role working from home 2 days a week - free parking on site**
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to lead and manage the payroll function for this hugely successful and growing business.
They have seen significant growth over the last few years, and are looking to double the size of their team in Eastleigh, so this is a really exciting time to join.
**The Payroll Manager duties are**:
- Record and update relevant employee information for payroll during the month, each month in a timely manner.
- Check and balance all changes to payroll with the HR Administrator, agreeing the correct final updates to payroll monthly.
- Accurately administer all payroll processes and calculations including but not limited to, new starters; leavers; changes to employee terms.
- Ensure all employees are paid accurately at all times and in accordance with the company and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the pay and pension data.
- Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll information.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all legal requirements, HMRC, DWP, GDPR, Gender Pay Gap, etc. reporting are complied with and where necessary audit own areas with line manager.
- Ensure all returns required by HMRC, DWP and Pension Administrators are completed correctly and on time.
- Respond to enquiries from employees, management and external contacts accurately & in a timely manner.
- Ensure that robust audit records are maintained and work with auditors, both internal & external, as required
- Assist with Reward related queries, e.g. Eye care vouchers; PMI; Medicash; Bonus, etc.
**Experience and skills required**
- Completed or studying towards a recognised payroll qualification e.g. CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent
- Recent experience of running a large and/or complex payroll.
- A detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation and national insurance; pensions administration and year end processes.
- Fully up to date with current payroll legislation and statutory reporting requirements
- Highly numerate with the ability to understand and accurately process a variety of standard calculations
