**Executive Assistant (EA) to Director of Communications**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, supportive and award-winning Communications Department and provide EA support to our busy Communications Director. You will use your experience in independent decision-making and ability to find solutionsto provide a professional, pro-active, and flexible service as well as supporting the wider Communications Department when required. This is a part-time role working 21.9 hours per week.
You will join a small but pivotal team that manages internal and external communications to enhance our local, national, and international reputation, and improve the experiences of our students and staff. Hear from our staff what makes the University ofBath a great place to work.
**Day to day you will support the Director of Communications through**:
- Managing and maintaining calendars, making appointments, and scheduling meetings in the most efficient way.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff in the Communications Department and across the University, including at senior level, as well as with contacts in other institutions locally and nationally.
- Providing proactive, comprehensive, and efficient support to projects and campaigns
- Budget monitoring.
- Supporting the organisation of events.
- Preparing and collating information for time critical reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Supporting the media, social media and internal communications teams develop and implement effective communications plans as part of our wider strategy.
- Taking accurate minutes during meetings and circulating actions promptly.
- Screening and directing phone calls and distributing correspondence.
**Ideally you will have experience in**:
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Efficient organisation and running of a Director / C-level / Senior stakeholder’s activities.
- Supporting the production of business proposals, papers, and presentations.
- Working on your own initiative and taking personal responsibility for tasks.
- Using discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
- Working with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to adapt your style accordingly.
- Using MS Office confidently with excellent word processing skills and the ability to pick up new systems with ease
- Working at pace without compromising on attention to detail
