Business Controller

**Key responsibilities**
- Undertake, refine and develop the reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the Group’s Product Project, Retrofits and Corrosion Protection businesses and to be the Finance Business Partner for the senior Product Project and Retrofits management teams.
- Be the Finance Business Partner for the Asia Region, working closely with the Regional VP to produce financial information, support decision making, set targets and develop budgets and forecasts.
- Support the Group Finance Team in developing the function to be a data-led, commercially focused operation.
- Support the Head of Commercial Excellence to drive sales and gross margin development across the business.
- Additionally, provide support to Groupwide projects, such as M&A and systems development (including ERP and BI tools).

**Key requirements**
- Provide financial analysis from Qliksense BI, Power BI, Iptor E9, SAP B1, Salesforce, Tagetik and any other sources as needed in order to drive the data-led approach to managing the business.
- To be involved in M&A projects within the Asia region, including DD through to post-acquisition integration.
- To develop and refine the forecasting processes for the Product Project, Retrofits and Corrosion Protection divisions, for both short-term (next 3 months) and longer-term (rolling 12 months). This should be data-driven, including analysis of the CRM tool (Salesforce) and SAP.
- Review and submit key figures to the group as part of the monthly and annual reporting schedules, including order intake, sales flash and actual net sales and gross margins.
- Interrogate the order intake each month to ensure there are no duplicates and that there is no deviation from the CRM.
- Review monthly sales commissions and ensure these are balanced and accrued where necessary.
- To oversee the overdue receivables reporting and processes across the group, including weekly overdue AR reporting and analysis.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within the various systems in use by the Group.
- Assist in the roll out of the Iptor E9 and SAP B1 systems to other Evac entities.
- Be an integral part of the team developing the use of BI within Evac, including building linkages to existing ERP systems and developing regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Take a lead in the preparation and submission of annual budgets for Order Intake, Net Sales and Gross Margin.
- Undertake pricing and margin analysis in order to inform and drive the pricing and sales strategy.
- Report daily Order Intake figures for the Group to our banks.

Any other duties commensurate with the role.

**Relationships required**
- Close working relationship with the VP, Business Control and regular interaction with the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Close working relationship with the VP, Asia Pacific, as well as the functional VPs for Product Project, Retrofits and Corrosion Protection.
- Work closely with the Group Finance team (based mostly in Espoo, Finland).
- Work collaboratively with other Evac departments, such as ICT, Legal and HR.
- Work with other Financial Heads in overseas operations across the business.
- Have a good working relationship with external consultants.

**Experience** required**
- Experience of using SAP Business One / E9 an advantage.
- Experience of using and developing BI tools, such as Power BI or Qliksense an advantage.
- Experience of using Salesforce an advantage.
- Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.
- Effective communicator at all levels of the business and with overseas colleagues.

**Qualifications Required**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Have a recognised Chartered Accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA).

**Job specific notes**

Internal and external training will be provided on key systems in use by the business.

As a multinational Group, occasional business travel overseas will be required.

This role is not deemed to be physically demanding.
