Our client a reputable pub group based in Weybridge, Surrey are looking to recruit a Deputy General Manager. They aim to bring London quality to Surrey by offering fresh British produce with a modern approach.
The Deputy General Manager is the acting right hand to the General Manager. It is the role of the Deputy General Manager to act in the place of the General Manager in their absence.
On Shift Duties:

- Act as a role model for the whole team and help to motivate staff both on and off shift
- Demonstrate an in depth understanding of the food and drinks menu so that you are able to confidently guide other staff and guests with recommendations, dietaries and any other relevant food related questions.
- Comfortably navigating Design My Night including amending the system such as floor plans, automated messages and card authentications via the settings
- Dealing with high pressure situations with calm professionalism and confidence so you are able to defuse aggravated guests, handle complaints, issue refunds, offer complimentary items where relevant and manage difficult guests.
- Manage the day to day operation from creating and amending rota's, managing the shift for the day, placing orders where relevant with suppliers and ensuring standards are met at every stage of the guest journey.
- Always being punctual and demonstrating high time management skills.
- Helping the company move forwards in new and exciting areas. Also, putting forward ideas on how to improve service standards and our public image.
- Attending all in-house training, unless providing written explanation and sending this to the General Manager
- Work with the General Manager and other management to ensure your venue is engaging social media to respond to messages, post story's daily and represent the brand appropriately
