Environment Artist - 15087

Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Environment Artist to join a games studio in Leeds. The full-time role offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

As an Environment Artist, you'll work on an exciting, unannounced VR game with a licensed movie IP. You will own specific areas of the project and take on informal mentoring duties.

In your first few weeks in this environment artist role, you can expect to:

- Work with the art team in the creation of game-ready assets for the project
- Contribute your artistic skills to shape the game's visual identity
- Optimise assets to enhance performance and memory efficiency while maintaining the intended visual quality
- Mentor and train junior artists.

The right person for this role will have experience in an environment artist role in a games studio and be able to showcase stylised environment work in your portfolio. You will also need the following:

- Experience creating stylised environments for a video game
- Good examples of high-quality texturing
- Wider knowledge of optimised UVs
