My client who are a world wide known airline company are looking to take on a Plant maintenance engineer for their landing gear systems site in Hayes.
The role:
Provide general mechanical maintenance and electrical support within the maintenance department. Specific purpose will be the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facility areas.
Maintain and repair all equipment and facility areas to agreed standard, with the ability to identify detailed faults.
Complete daily checks to machines and equipment, including statuary checks, within skills capabilities and skills approvals.
To work shift, and provide out of hour call in support.
**Requirements**:
The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling.
The job requires the use of hand tools and power tools.
The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy and to a high standard.
The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with a number of breaks throughout the day.
The position and process involves lifting heavy aircraft components.
The position requires the applicant to use maintenance components requiring good physical strength.
Mechanical / electrical background
Knowledge of pipework (PVC)
Good understanding of pumps & motors
Preferred understanding of gas ovens / chiller units / rectifiers
Preferred understanding of air handling units / air conditioning
Location: Hayes (UB3)
Shift: Double Days - Week 1 (6:00am - 2:00pm)
Week 2 (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

**Salary**: £28k - £35k + annual shift bonus £3,050
