**Salary**:£21,000 to £24,000 Annum (Caluclated Pro-Rata)
**Overview of the role**
Due to an internal move, we are recruiting a purchasing and accounts payable assistant in the finance team of Choice Care Group in our Head office in Bracknell.
**Key duties**
Typical day to day purchasing assistant tasks:
- Placing orders for Care homes and Head Office of non capital items (e.g.: hotel bookings, cleaning, stationery etc)
- Raising purchase orders (on excel database)
- Matching invoices received to purchase orders and querying differences with homes or suppliers
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers
- Supplier query resolution
- Filing signed contracts
- Invoice processing
- Credit card reconciliation and allocation of spend
- Supporting the accounts payable with ad hoc projects and tasks eg: analysis of spend using excel
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- New supplier set up
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks
**Personal attributes**
This role will suit someone with prior experience working in an accounts environment or purchasing team.
You will need to be a self-starter, able to demonstrate organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, be a good communicator and a problem solver.
You’ll be happy to be hands on and work on your own initiative but also be able to work together as a team to meet key deadlines.
- Previous experience in an accounts department or purchasing department
- A strong team player who is willing to actively work across the team, adopting a can-do and flexible attitude
- Ability to prioritise workloads and multitask
- Very good Excel experience
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
- Friendly and approachable attitude
