**HAYWARD HAWK** is working with a global leader in Consultancy services within the Legal sector. across NI & ROI in their search for Collections / Creditor Controller to join their Belfast team. This role will initially be on a 6 months contract with the likelihood to become a permanent position

**The role**:
The role is to act as a liaison between client contacts and global teams to ensure that money & debts are collected in a timely manner; and to provide support to the teams in all matters related to debtors. You will also liaise with the global finance team to provide regular updates and progress towards group targets.

**The Duties**
- Act as point person for all matters related to client debt, linking in with the relevant teams within client businesses (who may be located in different international jurisdictions / time-zones).
- Assist with developing and implementing strategies to improve and manage global service line debtors, as well supporting the Client-facing teams with strategies to prevent re-occurrence of delayed payments
- Undertake all necessary activities to secure strong collections results for the business using a variety of communication formats, which will include:

- Chasing up overdue payments;
- Assisting with resolution of client queries and issues;
- Highlighting problem customers to senior management,
- Referring debts to third party collection agencies, when necessary
- Report information on daily, weekly and monthly basis to management as required.
- Continually enhance the businesses reports and procedures to maintain excellent efficiencies within the credit control function.
- Deliver challenging targets based on the following:

- Value of collections
- Debtor Days
- Aged Debt analysis
- Activity levels

**The Person**

**Essential**
- Experience working in a busy Finance Administration role, ideally within credit control & collections
- GCSE Maths and English, Grades A*- C or equivalent
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong Communication skills.

**Remuneration**

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Full-time
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Belfast, County Antrim: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- credit control: 1 year (preferred)
