A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse / FLT (Reach and Counter Balance ) Operative to join our warehouse operations team in Maidstone on a permanent basis.

As part of the team, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse professional looking for a role that offers that little bit more. Not only will you undertake typical duties - moving products into storage, loading, unloading vehicles, order picking and data input; we will train you across other functions in the business, meaning you will become an integral part of a multi-skilled team.

You will feel the ownership of your work from the beginning, be given exciting assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility

**SHIFTS**:
0800 - 1700 Monday - Friday

**DUTIES**
- Correctly and accurately pick goods using Scanners and Navision system
- Packing orders suitable for safe transit including labelling, palletising, heat wrapping, banding and securing products in wooden crates
- Assembly of goods - some products need to be assembled
- Use of internal computer system for despatch of goods and stock checks
- Loading and unloading collections / deliveries including manual handling, pallet and forklift (VNA, Reach and Counter Balance)
- Store goods in racking and location marked on the delivery documentation
- Perpetual stock checks and annual stock checks
- Correcting errors resulting from Discrepancy Forms
- Assist with stock management / movement within the warehouse
- Data input / data entry and PI Counts
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from obstructions
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy warehousing environment

**KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE**:

- Fork Lift Truck Licence is essential for the role - Counter Balance and / or Reach Licence
- Previous experience of a fast-paced warehouse environment
- IT literate with a working knowledge of ERP systems for inventory management
- The ability to carry out physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach with a team focus and can-do attitude
- An ability to take charge of a situation and use your own initiative
- Sound understanding of safety procedures and practises
- A good level of fitness is required to carry out the lifting and carrying involved in moving stock
