**What will you be doing?**
The Digital Finance Transformation Team (DFT) is responsible for the management and delivery of significant programmes of change. The PMO and Demand function plays a critical role within DFT, providing the governance and infrastructure to ensure that we operate in a consistent, repeatable and standardised way. It ensures adherence to reporting and financial calendars, maintenance and validity of information as well as tracking of Projects and Programmes to meet time, cost and quality targets.
The PMO Specialist will support the PMO & Demand Manager with the running of the Finance Demand Process; understanding Finance impacting business change, facilitating the impact assessment of these changes across the broader Finance community, as well as assessing and tracking Finance’s capacity to support and deliver the change. The PMO Specialist will support the management of newly incepted projects before hand-off to a Finance Project Manager, or continuous management of small-scale projects not requiring permanent project management.
The PMO Specialist will work closely with the PMO & Demand Manager, DFT Management, Finance Senior Management, Delivery/Project Managers, the UK Strategy and Execution Team (SET) and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) providing the support and collateral that is required for seamless execution of projects and programmes. The role holder will also work closely with the wider Finance departments, Consumer and Business entities, Technology and other supporting functions to ensure the right level of engagement with Finance and provide regular and ad-hoc reporting and communications to stakeholders up to and including director level.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Provide guidance on Digital Finance Transformation governance processes, tools, document templates and controls to ensure consistent Programme and Project delivery.
- Coordinate Project/Programme meetings where required
- Attend Project Reviews to ensure appropriate governance action has/is taking place
- Assist with the collation and issuing of Project/Programme communications
- Support the end-to-end Finance Demand Management process; working with all areas of Finance to understand impacts (via impact assessment process), manage these impacts with the Project Manager, Finance Management Team and associated core Business Teams to ensure the correct level of Finance engagement is achieved and appropriate resources assigned
- Support the Finance Capacity Management process; identifying, tracking and supporting resolution of capacity or prioritisation issues, enabling effective planning and decision making
- Support the management of newly incepted projects before hand-off to PM or continuous management of small-scale projects not requiring permanent project management
- Support communication into FMT (Finance Management Team) through monthly cross functional sync sessions
- Work closely with the UK Strategy Execution Team (SET), ensuring alignment across UK business change and functional delivery, providing all relevant reporting.
- Support the governance of the Finance Capex budget and associated Financial processes
- Identify and drive forward opportunity for PMO process improvements
- Manage governance data/reporting
- Support delivery of the annual budget cycle submission for Finance including creation of business cases and appropriate governance material
**Who are we looking for?**
- Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
- A good business administrator, highly organised
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Can quickly build relationships both within the team and throughout Vodafone
