**Job Description**:
One of London's most developed councils based in West London is seeking Housing Advisor to start as soon as possible for an initial 4-month basis to support the Homelessness Assessment & Prevention department and make that change in the local community
Role: Housing Advisor
Rate: PAYE £18.80
Duration: 4 months
Location: Hybrid with most remote ( Offices based in Hammersmith)
Purpose of the role:

- To provide an excellent service to all residents and customers who present, apply, or are referred to the service by offering high standards of customer care at all times, acting with integrity and courtesy, and adhering to service and corporate standards;
- To ensure legal compliance with the relevant legislation by issuing all notifications and decisions correctly and on time;
Main Duties:

- To ensure that all set performance targets are met or exceeded, and where they are not, to work with team leaders and managers to take steps to quickly improve performance;
- To carry out full housing options interviews with all applicants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in a person-centred way, including carrying out enquiries into applicants’ circumstances, checking and verifying documents and visiting as appropriate, maximising prevention opportunities, creating and updating Personal Housing Plans, providing advice and appropriate assistance to enable applicants to remain in existing accommodation to source alternative accommodation;

Knowledge & Experience and Skills

2. Experience in managing a varied caseload, carrying out regular reviews, making recommendations and ensuring changes in circumstances are recorded and acted on to accurately reflect the Council’s duties.

4. Commitment to provide excellent service to all customers, clients and residents who will use the service. Offer high standards of customer care at all times and meet corporate standards in the provision of a responsive and customer-focused service
5. Able to work effectively as a member of a team and contribute to policy development and partnership arrangements
