Switchgear Services, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking an enthusiastic and analytical individual to join our Finance team as an Assistant Finance Business Partner, supporting our growing Switchgear Services business. **Assistant Finance Business Partner - Switchgear Services | Finance Careers**

Become a trusted advisor in our Finance team, supporting the operational and commercial performance of our Switchgear Services business. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in financial management and business partnering within a dynamic industrial environment. You'll enjoy a varied role with opportunities to develop your analytical, reporting, and communication skills, helping deliver financial excellence across key service lines.

**Key Responsibilities - Business Partnering & Financial Support**
- Work closely with the Switchgear Services Finance Business Partner and operational teams, helping to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and analysis.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, analysing variances, and providing commentary to support business decisions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring robust and realistic assumptions are used in financial plans.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial controls, processes, and reporting tools.
- Help identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions that drive efficiency and profitability.
- Assist in contract reviews, project costings and ad-hoc commercial analysis.
- Build collaborative relationships with operational and commercial teams, becoming a key point of contact for finance-related queries.
- Support compliance with internal and external financial standards and deadlines.
- Participate in wider business improvement and transformation initiatives as part of a proactive Finance team.

**Essential Skills & Experience for Finance Business Partnering**
- Relevant finance qualification (AAT, part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or appropriate experience in a finance role.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Experience of financial systems and Excel; familiarity with ERP or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Keen to learn, adaptable to change, and motivated to develop a career in finance and business partnering.
- Collaborative approach, working well in diverse teams across operational functions.
